Dextera is very friendly, boisterous and charismatic to a near fault that he could almost be annoying at times but he does catch himself when his positivity becomes toxic. He is a well-meaning young man, clearly proud of his skills and big heart and is eager to show them off to the world.With such a rosy outlook and so much energy, he can be a bit naive and gullible, something that he's trying to remedy the more he travels in hopes of gaining more worldly experience.Alongside that naivete is an insecurity of failing his future and of those he fights for, especially family both blood-related and found.
The EclipseThat insecurity during a period of strife manifested another identity within him that is blunt, rude, serious and only concerned with results that appeal to It and for Sunshine’s sake. Thankfully its only when the goggles come off that this persona takes over which is why Dextera would rather keep them on at all times.While acknowledging that It shares the same vessel as him, that doesn’t stop It from mocking and belittling Sunshine in an effort to break the rose colored goggles over him and harden him to the world. In turn, Dextera is aware of everything That side says and does and is always apologetic while also believing It a necessary evil when things turn out well from the takeover.While Dextera is sympathetic to others, the persona is incapable of being empathetic nor prone to acts of kindness but its goodwill comes in a way that if someone has a problem It bullies them into doing something about it, so It isn’t hateful or hostile out of battle. If something threatens Sunshine’s wellbeing and those he holds close to his heart, It will keep him safe and begrudgingly, others as well.☼Backstory☼ ☼Playlist☼
Dextera was raised by his father J'ciel Nunh and two mothers J'lune and Esther who were best friends, one of which was of the moon clan, who took over raising him after J'lune died when he was 6. He had a half-sister; Sinistra, that he doted upon to the point of annoyance and was ignorant of the abuse she suffered from the other children and adults of the tribe, they believing her to be cursed while they also held Dextera in high regard.He ended up traveling with his step-mother to Old Sharlayan at his behest since he did not wish to fight his father later down the road for Nunh and to find his own way.He did not complete his studies as sometime later his stepmother vanished around the same time he received a letter from home that his father had passed suddenly and his sister ran away.He left Sharlayan behind to return home for answers only to find his tribe in disarray from a power struggle with the other males. They made an attempt on his life and he barely escaped alive. It was this incident that a persona manifested as a defense and coping mechanism from not only his own loss but that of his tribe and family.Now he seeks answers from the last person who saw his father alive; his sister, staying mostly in Limsa. With ships sailing in and out, surely something will come up. It has to, if he hopes to reclaim his place in his tribe… That is if he still wants to.

Sinistra Sombra - younger half-sister
The only family he has left. He once doted upon her, blissfully unaware how much it annoyed her and how much she hated him and still does. She ran away after their father was poisoned and the tribe framing her for the murder but Dextera doesn't know that was the reason for her running. More than likely he will be staring down the barrel of her firearm.
Necro Graenn - best friend
The Viera had shadowed Dextera when he first arrived to Limsa, seeing how not bright he was at navigating the city and its denizens both over and under belly. The two bonded strangely enough and Dextera even developed feelings for him but decidedly let it pass, knowing how Necro is when it comes to matters of the heart which did not damage their friendship but strengthened it. They are ride or die. Now Necro is helping Dextera with his search for his sister, mostly to keep the Miqo'te alive/out of trouble.
